For those who were excited to see women like Kathy Liebert and Sandra Naujoks succeeding in recent mixed field poker tournaments, mark your calendars because the best and brightest women in the game are going to be showcased in the upcoming Women’s World Open III organized by Matchroom Sport, will take place from May 24th-May 27th and will be filmed at Three Mills Studio in London, England.

The format of the $3,000 buy-in tournament is essentially a double shootout. The 36 entrants will be divided into six six-handed tables and the winner of each table will advance to the final round. The six ladies who finished in second place during their opening heat will have a second chance to make the final table in a consolation heat. The winner of the consolation heat will advance to the seven-handed final table and vie for a piece of the $108,000 prize pool. The champion of the event will walk away with $50,000.

The event boasts an international field of female pros headlined by WSOPE Main Event winner Annette “Annette_15” Obrestad. This will be the Norweigan pro’s first appearance in the televised event. Others in the field include WSOP bracelet winner Jennifer Tilly, EPT Dortmund winner Naujoks, Maria Demetriou, Eliza Burnett, Jen Mason, Stefanie Bergener and the Women’s World Open II winner Soraya Homam of Germany.

Plot:

Plot:
Do San (the God of gamblers) is a legendary gambler helped by his supernatural abilities. He undertakes to help a friend pay a debt by beating his friend’s advisory at the card table. Despite being assigned a bodyguard Do San has a freak accident which leaves him with partial memory loss and at a mental stage of a child. The small time hustler Knife, his side-kick and his girl friend, being responsible for the accident takes care of the retarded Do San. After some time they discover that he has not lost all of his powers and takes him on a round at the local gambling halls. After being chased by both Knife’s loan-shark and enemies closer to the home of Do San, a final showdown at the card tables may take place.
